What girly-girl doesn't love a pink-flowery-glittery purse? I just love this simple layout for a card purse. This card fits in a standard envelope but is no standard card. You may have seen this card before...I had sent it in to the Display Boards for Convention 2008. This was one of the stamp sets we received from Stampin' Up! at Convention and is now part of the standard Starter Kit when you join...I really love using this stamp set.
It's so simple to make really...cut your card stock as for a standard 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card. Trim off the top and bottom at an angle. (just use the first cut as a guide for the second, use your cutter or long scissors.) Cut out an oval with your Big Shot or Colozzle (that will be your flap) and embellish. Use Velcro for the closure. I took a trip to the Hardware Store and also added pull-chain to add to the "purse" effect with a little tag for the sentiment, "A Fabulous Gift for You". I also used my crafter tool kit and created "faux" stitching with holes and my white jel pen along the edges.
Open...
Close up...I used Shimmer White Paper Embossed with Chocolate Chip Craft Ink and Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, plus Beads and Crystal Effects and more Glitter on top....Bada-Bling! LOL. What do you think?
Have a WONDERFUL day. Happy Stamping...only FOUR days till the NEW Catalog!!!
